While ultrasonic dog repellents are effective against dogs, they have limitations in terms of distance. For example, if activated at a great distance, the sound waves are weakened by the distance and may not bother the dog, potentially leaving it unresponsive.
When purchasing a dog repellent, it's crucial to consider not only the sound wave frequency but also its effective range. Don't assume you're immune to aggressive dogs just because you have one. If the effective range is too short-for example, some inferior products are only effective within two or three meters-even when activated, an aggressive dog can easily overpower a human, rendering the repellent useless.
High-quality dog repellents typically have an effective range of over 15 meters. If the goal is to repel aggressive dogs, choose one with an effective range exceeding 15 meters. If the goal is to facilitate dog training, choose a repellent with an effective range of less than 15 meters.
